WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Staff-Summer-2004.jpgBecoming a Staff Member
Being a staff member at High Peak Camp is far more than a summer job... it's an unforgettable experience in beautiful surroundings... a rare opportunity to develop spiritually, and reach your full potential as you help others reach theirs.

High Peak Camp is a very special place. It's a down-to-earth environment where you will meet and make friends of all ages - from all over the world - and form bonds that will last a lifetime. Most of all, it's a place where a family feeling is encouraged and both campers and staff are urged to be themselves.

Locationcamp 2006 189.jpg
High Peak Camp is located near the Rocky Mountain National Park. Its 440 unspoiled acres include woodlands, game fields and open areas, and boasts nine ponds within its property boundries. The area is famous for warm, sunny days and cool, comfortable nights, an unobstructed view of the Rocky Mountains. It's location is not only inviting for our campers, but for our summer staff and summer vacationers.

Each summer, High Peak Camp operates six five-day programs with 100 boys and girls ranging in age from 7 to 12 in each session, and two five-day teen camps for young people ages 13-18. They come from all over Colorado with some coming all the way from Montana, Utah and Wyoming. The return rate for both campers and staff is very high - thanks, in part, to our efforts to make each summer slightly different, more challenging, a continuing growth experience and, most of all fun.

Aims and Goalscamp 2006 094.jpg
Sending a child to camp is a tremendous act of faith by parents. At High Peak Camp, we take that responsibility very seriously. We work to maintain an environment that encourages safety, physical health and reinforces a positive relationship with God. Our aim is to provide campers with opportunities that will stimulate both emotional and physical growth, and encourage them to stretch themselves through participation in newly learned skills and activities. Our ultimate goal is to provide an exciting summer experience that motivates our campers to approach the future with confidence, and a feeling of self worth in the eyes of God.

We create an environment of warmth and closeness at High Peak Camp by limiting camper enrollment; encouraging the devlopment of personal skills through new experiences; helping each camper to set personal goals no matter their age or ability, and to give each camper individual attention and care.
